FBI chart of the Philadelphia Family attached to a June 2, 1986 report concerning a Miami Field Office investigation.
Notes:
- Lawrence Merlino is included in both the Soldiers and Incarcerated Members sections, with the latter spot likely being meant for Salvatore 'Chuckie' Merlino.
Merlino, the Former Underboss, was then serving a term for bribery.
His replacement Philip Leonetti is believed to be the redacted name in that section of the chart.
- The two redacted Captain names are probably Thomas 'Tommy Del' DelGiorno and Frank 'Faffy' Iannarella Jr., who were appointed co-Acting Captains of the former Salvatore Testa crew in November 1984 and then made official at the same time that Leonetti was elevated into the administration.
- Joseph 'Jack Williams' Lanciano was by then a Soldier reporting to Alfred Iezzi.
- Ralph Napoli had since been replaced by Pasquale 'Patty Specs' Martirano.
- The redacted Soldiers are most likely Nicholas 'Nicky Crow' Caramandi, Salvatore 'Wayne' Grande, Anthony 'Blond Babe' Pungitore and Joseph Pungitore.
A total of 53 members are listed.
Of those 53, nine were deceased and one (Frank 'Blinky' Palermo) may not have been a member dropping the total to 43. (The deceased were Edward Caminiti [1985], James Gatto [1980], Giuseppe Ida [1984], Carl Ippolito [1985], Federico Lagana [1976], Dominick LePore [1981], Pasquale Massi [1980], Joseph Scafidi [1985] and Vincenzo Turco [1979].)
The chart is brought back up to a baseline of 63 with the addition of confirmed members Giuseppe 'Happy' Bellina, 'Little Felix' Bocchino, Fulvio Capozzi, Peter 'The Crumb' Caprio, Anthony Casella, Anthony 'Tony Meats' Ferrante, Gerald 'Jerry' Fusella, Joseph Grande, Pasquale Martirano, Eugene 'Gino' Milano, Nicholas 'Nicky Whip' Milano, Philip Narducci, Frank Nicoletti, Antonio 'Mr. Migo' Pollina, Orlando Puppo, Michael 'Mickey Walker' Ricciardi, Joseph Scalleat, Joseph Sodano, John Stanfa and Nicholas 'The Blade' Virgilio.
Later that month (June 1986) an additional six members were inducted: Anthony 'Slicker' Attanasio, Joseph 'Scoops' Licata, Joseph Ligambi, Anthony Pungitore Jr., Salvatore 'Tore' Scafidi and Ralph 'Junior' Staino. This would be the last ceremony presided over by Boss Nicodemo Scarfo.
