Thomas Gioeli (Colombo)


1970s arrest photo of future Colombo Acting Boss Thomas Gioeli. Held on a robbery charge, at the time he was an associate of the Russo cousins Anthony and Joseph.

Gioeli was inducted under the Russos' sponsorship in January 1987, and promoted to Captain following Joseph's 1994 conviction on Federal racketeering charges. He served as the Family's Acting Boss for a time leading up to his own indictment in June 2008.
