Born May 7, 1943 in Brooklyn to Louis (32y) and Rose Ceparano (26y). Father's family from Tito comune of Potenza, Basilicata. Mother's family from Province of Messina, Sicily.

Family resided on Powell St in Brownsville, Brooklyn.

In 1990 and 1993 convicted of obstruction of justice and conspiracy - money laundering respectively.

Released from Federal prison September 1, 2000.

On December 22, 2001 an FBI source reported that Gurino and five others were 'to be made in the Gambino Family around the holidays.' (The other names are redacted in the report. One was described as the new driver for Unsub whose name is also redacted.)

By February 25, 2002 the source confirmed that Gurino and three others in the group had been inducted.

Within a couple of weeks it was reported that the other two candidates were 'in line to be made into the Gambino LCN with the next batch of inductees'. On June 17, 2002 they were confirmed to have been 'recently made'.

A. Ruggiano Jr.
In October 2004 Gambino Associate Anthony Ruggiano Jr. met with Gambino Acting Captain James Dellaratta and Soldiers Michael 'Nunzi' Napolitano and Louis 'Brother' Scida at Alberto's Restaurant. The group informed Ruggiano Jr. that he was proposed for membership and discussed recent inductions and promotions in the Family. Ruggiano Jr. later testified: "They told me [I] was going to get straightened out. That Jimmy Boy [Dellaratta] was going to take me to the ceremony. And they told me that Tommy Sneakers [Cacciopoli] became an official captain and Anthony [Gurino] became an official captain. They were just telling me who was who and what's what." (Ruggiano Jr.'s induction was pushed back, and before he could be made he was indicted and subsequently defected in 2006.)

On July 18, 2005 FBI CI reported that Anthony Gurino had been promoted to 'full Capo' taking over an unspecified crew. (This same report noted that on June 14, 2005 another pair of Unsubs were reported to have been promoted to 'full Capo' and 'Acting Capo' over two separate crews. The document also states that on September 10, 2005 a fourth Unsub was identified as succeeding an imprisoned individual as 'Capo' over yet another crew.)

Anthony Gurino died August 7, 2019 and was waked August 12-13 at Fredericks Funeral Home in Flushing, Queens.
